David Stead (cricketer)

David Stead (born 13 September 1965) is a former English cricketer. He was a right-handed batsman and right-arm medium-pace bowler. Stead played first-class cricket for Leicestershire and Somerset between 1987 and 1997. He scored over 4,000 first-class runs, with a highest score of 142. He also took over 100 first-class wickets. After his playing career, Stead became involved in cricket coaching.
