Linafoot
Linafoot is the top-tier football league in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Officially known as the Championnat National de Football, it is organized by the Congolese Football Association (FECOFA). The league features professional and semi-professional clubs from across the country competing for the national championship title and qualification for continental club competitions such as the CAF Champions League and the CAF Confederation Cup. The season typically runs from August/September to May/June, though the specific schedule can vary. The league has undergone various name changes and format adjustments throughout its history. TP Mazembe, based in Lubumbashi, is historically the most successful club in Linafoot. The league plays a significant role in developing football talent within the DRC and contributing to the national team, the Leopards (currently known as the Simbas). Notable teams often include AS Vita Club, DC Motema Pembe, and FC Saint Eloi Lupopo, alongside TP Mazembe.
