Kosmos 6
Kosmos 6 was an unmanned Soviet satellite launched on June 15, 1962, as part of the Kosmos program. Its primary mission was scientific research, specifically to study the Earth's atmosphere, ionosphere, and radiation environment. It carried a suite of instruments to measure various parameters, including atmospheric density, charged particle flux, and cosmic radiation. The data collected from Kosmos 6 contributed to a better understanding of the upper atmosphere and its interaction with solar activity. It was placed into a low Earth orbit and decayed from orbit on June 23, 1962.
