Go Iwase
Go Iwase (岩瀬 豪, Iwase Gō) is a Japanese businessman and entrepreneur. He is best known as the founder and CEO of Lifenet Insurance Company (ライフネット生命保険株式会社, Raifunetto Seimei Hoken Kabushiki-gaisha), a Japanese online life insurance company.
Iwase graduated from the University of Tokyo's Faculty of Law and subsequently worked at McKinsey & Company. He left McKinsey to pursue his entrepreneurial vision, founding Lifenet in 2006. Lifenet aimed to disrupt the traditional Japanese life insurance market by offering simpler, more transparent, and affordable products online.
Iwase played a significant role in the company's initial public offering (IPO) on the Tokyo Stock Exchange in 2012. He stepped down as CEO of Lifenet in 2018.
Beyond Lifenet, Iwase has been involved in various other business and investment ventures. He has also authored books and articles on business, entrepreneurship, and technology.
