Kenji Ito
Kenji Ito (伊藤 賢治, Itō Kenji, born July 5, 1968) is a Japanese video game music composer best known for his work on the Mana series, particularly Seiken Densetsu 2 (Secret of Mana) and Seiken Densetsu 3 (Trials of Mana). He also composed music for numerous other games, including titles in the Romancing SaGa, SaGa Frontier, and Culdcept series.
Ito is known for his distinctive compositional style, characterized by memorable melodies, energetic rhythms, and skillful use of various instruments and synthesizers. His compositions often blend elements of classical music, rock, and electronic music.
He began his career at Square (now Square Enix) in the late 1980s, contributing to titles such as Final Fantasy Adventure and Romancing SaGa. He left Square in 2001 to pursue a freelance career, allowing him to work on a wider variety of projects.
Throughout his career, Ito has collaborated with numerous other composers and musicians, and his music has been featured in orchestral arrangements and concerts around the world. He remains an active composer and performer in the video game music industry.
