Parramos
Parramos is a municipality in the department of Chimaltenango, Guatemala. It is located approximately 58 kilometers west of Guatemala City.
Geography: Parramos is situated in the central highlands of Guatemala. The terrain is generally mountainous with valleys and ravines. The climate is temperate.
History: The area has a history dating back to pre-Columbian Mayan times. The modern municipality was officially established during the colonial period.
Demographics: The population of Parramos is predominantly indigenous Maya, primarily of the Kaqchikel linguistic group. The main language spoken is Kaqchikel, although Spanish is also widely understood.
