Qionghai, officially Qionghai City (simplified Chinese: 琼海市; traditional Chinese: 瓊海市; pinyin: Qiónghǎi Shì), is a county-level city in Hainan Province, China. It is located on the east coast of Hainan Island.
Geography:
Qionghai is situated on the eastern coast of Hainan Island, facing the South China Sea. It is characterized by a tropical monsoon climate, featuring warm temperatures year-round and abundant rainfall. The terrain includes coastal plains, hills, and mountains.
History:
Historically, the area of Qionghai has been part of several administrative divisions under various dynasties. In 1958, the counties of Qiongdong and Lehui were merged to form Qionghai County. Qionghai was upgraded to a county-level city in 1992.

Qionghai City is divided into several towns and townships. These include, but are not limited to, Jiaji Town (嘉积镇), Tanmen Town (潭门镇), Boao Town (博鳌镇), and Shibi Town (石壁镇).

Qionghai is accessible by road, rail, and air. The Hainan Ring Expressway passes through the city, connecting it to other major cities on the island. The Hainan Eastern Ring High-Speed Railway also serves Qionghai. There are also local bus services within the city and to neighboring areas.
