Stan Lloyd (English footballer)

Stan Lloyd (born 1920, died 1974) was an English professional footballer who played as an outside left. He primarily played for Shrewsbury Town and Newport County in the Football League.

Lloyd began his professional career at Shrewsbury Town after joining from non-league football. He quickly established himself in the first team, known for his pace and crossing ability. After several seasons with Shrewsbury, he transferred to Newport County, where he continued to feature regularly. He played a significant role in their Football League campaigns during his time there.

Following his playing career, Lloyd remained involved in football at a local level. Details of his life outside of football and after his retirement from the professional game are limited but he is remembered as a valued player for both Shrewsbury Town and Newport County.
