Holzbach (Erft)

The Holzbach is a small river in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is a left tributary of the Erft. The Holzbach rises near Eschweiler and flows generally northwards through the Rhein-Erft-Kreis district. It empties into the Erft near Bergheim. The Holzbach's length is approximately 15 kilometers. The river's ecological condition varies, facing challenges from agricultural runoff and urbanization in parts of its course. Efforts have been made to improve the water quality and ecological integrity of the Holzbach.
