John Atkinson (Australian footballer)

John Atkinson is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Fitzroy in the Victorian Football League (VFL).

Atkinson, a rover, was recruited to Fitzroy from Box Hill Technical School. He played three senior VFL games for Fitzroy, all in the 1967 season. He debuted in round 13 against Footscray at Western Oval, and also appeared against South Melbourne and St Kilda.
