Hilário (footballer, born 1939)
Hilário Rosário da Conceição, known simply as Hilário (born March 19, 1939), is a former Portuguese footballer who played as a left back.
He spent the majority of his club career with Sporting Clube de Portugal, where he played for 15 seasons, from 1959 to 1974. During this time, he won four Primeira Liga titles (1961–62, 1965–66, 1969–70, and 1973–74) and five Portuguese Cups (1962–63, 1970–71, 1972–73, 1973–74, and 1977–78, the last one won after retirement to support the team due to injuries in the squad).
Hilário also represented the Portugal national team, earning 39 caps between 1959 and 1971. He was a member of the squad that finished third at the 1966 FIFA World Cup in England, playing in all but one of Portugal's matches during the tournament.
After retiring from playing, Hilário became a football manager.
