Lord Charles Manners (British Army officer, died 1761)

Lord Charles Manners (c. 1720 – 1761) was a British Army officer, the second son of John Manners, 3rd Duke of Rutland and Bridget Sutton. He entered the army as an Ensign in the 1st Regiment of Foot Guards on 25 April 1737. He served with distinction in various campaigns during the War of the Austrian Succession, rising through the ranks. He was promoted to Lieutenant and Captain in the 1st Foot Guards on 21 July 1743.

Manners was made a Lieutenant-Colonel on 27 February 1745 and commanded a regiment in the British Army. He saw action at the Battle of Fontenoy in 1745. Further promotions followed, including Colonel on 7 February 1757. He participated in expeditions during the Seven Years' War.

He married Frances Seymour, daughter of Charles Seymour, 6th Duke of Somerset, on 22 February 1749. They had no children.

Lord Charles Manners died in 1761.
