Jimmy Martin (American football)

Jimmy Martin (born December 14, 1963) is a former American football linebacker who played in the National Football League (NFL).

Martin played college football at Louisiana State University (LSU), where he was a standout player. He was known for his hard-hitting style and strong tackling ability.

He was drafted by the Washington Redskins in the fifth round of the 1987 NFL Draft. He played for the Redskins for two seasons (1987-1988). In 1987, he was part of the Redskins team that won Super Bowl XXII against the Denver Broncos.

After his time with the Redskins, Martin played for the Phoenix Cardinals in 1990. His NFL career concluded that season. Following his playing career, information about his post-football life is limited.
