Heinz Beck (chef)
Heinz Beck (born 3 November 1963) is a German-born chef. He is best known for his innovative and artistic modern Italian cuisine. He is the head chef of La Pergola, the three-Michelin-starred restaurant at the Rome Cavalieri, A Waldorf Astoria Resort.
Beck's culinary philosophy emphasizes the use of high-quality, fresh ingredients and a focus on healthy eating. He is known for his light and flavorful sauces and his meticulous attention to detail. He incorporates scientific principles into his cooking, researching the nutritional impact and digestibility of his dishes.
Before joining La Pergola in 1994, Beck worked in various restaurants across Europe, including Tantris in Munich and Tristan in Spain. He has published several cookbooks and is a frequent guest on television cooking programs.
