Flekkerøy is an island and a former municipality in Agder county, Norway.
Geography:
Flekkerøy is located just southwest of the city of Kristiansand. It is connected to the mainland by the Flekkerøy Tunnel. The island is characterized by its coastal landscape, with rocky shores and skerries.
History:
Flekkerøy was a separate municipality from 1964 until 1988. On January 1, 1988, it was merged into the municipality of Kristiansand. Prior to 1964, Flekkerøy was part of Oddernes municipality.
