Diplasia

Diplasia refers to an abnormality in development, often used in the context of biological tissues and structures. It signifies a disorganized or atypical arrangement of cells within a tissue or organ, departing from the normal, expected developmental pattern. Unlike conditions like aplasia (absence of development) or dysplasia (abnormal cell growth often precancerous), diplasia highlights the misplacement and malformation resulting from developmental errors.
