Schareck
Schareck is a mountain in the High Tauern range of the Central Eastern Alps in Austria. It is located in the state of Carinthia, within the Hohe Tauern National Park. The Schareck summit reaches an elevation of 2,606 meters (8,550 feet) above sea level.
It is a popular destination for hiking and mountaineering during the summer months, offering panoramic views of the surrounding alpine landscape, including the Großglockner, Austria's highest mountain. In winter, the area around Schareck is part of the Mölltal Glacier ski resort, providing access to glacier skiing and snowboarding. The ascent to the Schareck summit requires a good level of fitness and experience in mountain hiking. The mountain is generally accessible via marked trails.
