Jim Adduci (baseball, born 1985)
James Robert "Jim" Adduci Jr. (born May 15, 1985) is an American former professional baseball outfielder. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Texas Rangers, Chicago Cubs, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Detroit Tigers, and in the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) for the Lotte Giants.
Adduci was drafted by the Florida Marlins in the 42nd round of the 2003 MLB Draft, but did not sign. He was then drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 42nd round of the 2004 MLB Draft, and again did not sign. Finally, he was drafted by the Florida Marlins in the 35th round of the 2005 MLB Draft and signed.
Adduci worked his way through the Marlins' minor league system before being traded to the Texas Rangers in 2009. He made his MLB debut with the Rangers in 2013. He later signed with the Chicago Cubs.
In 2015, Adduci joined the Lotte Giants of the KBO. He played in Korea for one season before returning to MLB.
Adduci signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2016 and was later traded to the Detroit Tigers. He played with the Tigers from 2017-2018. He played with the Chicago Cubs in 2019.
Throughout his career, Adduci was known for his versatility and ability to play multiple positions.
