Dawasir
The Dawasir (singular: Dosari) are a large and prominent Arab tribe primarily located in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Kuwait. They trace their lineage back to the Banu Salim branch of the Hawazin confederation. Historically, the Dawasir were known for their seafaring activities, pearl diving, and trade, particularly in the Arabian Gulf region. They are considered to be one of the oldest and most influential tribes in the area, with a significant presence in both rural and urban centers. The tribe is further divided into several clans and sub-clans, each with its own distinct history and traditions. Loyalty to the tribe and adherence to traditional customs and values remain important aspects of Dawasir identity.
