David Yost (American football)

David Yost (born December 11, 1967) is an American football coach. He is currently the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at New Mexico State University.

Yost has a long and varied career as an offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at the college level. Before joining New Mexico State, he served as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at the University of Tulsa (2019-2022), where his offenses produced impressive passing statistics. Prior to Tulsa, Yost held similar positions at the University of Missouri (2016-2018), Washington State University (2013-2015), Utah State University (2009-2011), and the University of Toledo (2000-2008).

Yost is known for his Air Raid offensive schemes, which emphasize passing and spreading the field. He has coached numerous successful quarterbacks throughout his career, helping them achieve individual accolades and team success. He's considered a highly regarded offensive mind within college football circles.
