David Rothenberg (activist)
David Rothenberg (born 1933, died August 17, 2023) was an American peace activist, environmentalist, and journalist, best known for his work with the Clearwater environmental organization and the Pete Seeger-founded Beacon Sloop Club.
Rothenberg was a prominent figure in the Hudson River environmental movement, advocating for its cleanup and preservation for decades. He served as the editor of Clearwater's publication, Clearwater Navigator, for many years, using it as a platform to raise awareness about pollution, advocate for responsible development, and promote environmental stewardship.
