Blinded (TV series)
Blinded is a Swedish crime drama television series based on the novel Störst av allt (Quicksand) by Malin Persson Giolito. The series diverges significantly from the novel in its plot and characters. It was released in 2019 and stars Julia Ragnarsson as Bea Farkas, a young temporary financial journalist working at a Swedish investment bank called Stenson.
The story revolves around Bea discovering suspicious transactions and unethical practices within the bank. As Bea delves deeper, she uncovers a web of corruption, money laundering, and potential insider trading, forcing her to make difficult choices and putting her and those around her at risk. The series explores themes of corporate greed, moral compromise, and the personal cost of seeking justice. The other lead character is Peder Rooth, played by Matias Varela, the CEO of Stenson. The series aired on C More and TV4 in Sweden.
