William Kent (MP)

William Kent (1845 – 1917) was a British Liberal Party politician and Member of Parliament (MP).

Kent was born in Barnstaple, Devon, the son of Charles Kent. He was educated privately. He was a Justice of the Peace for Middlesex.

He served as the Member of Parliament for Great Yarmouth from 1906 to January 1910. He won the seat in the 1906 general election but lost it in the January 1910 general election. During his time in Parliament, he generally supported the Liberal government's agenda, although records indicate limited involvement in debates. His political activity primarily focused on local constituency matters.

Following his defeat in 1910, Kent did not return to Parliament. He remained involved in local affairs and continued his activities as a Justice of the Peace. He died in 1917.
