USS Skink

USS Skink was the name of two ships that served in the United States Navy.

• USS Skink (1863): A Casco-class light draft monitor, Skink was built by Alexander Swift & Company of Cincinnati, Ohio. Launched in 1863 and commissioned in 1864, she served during the American Civil War. She participated in operations along the rivers of the Confederacy, providing support for Union Army movements and engaging Confederate forces. She was decommissioned after the war's end.

• USS Skink (SP-618): A wooden-hulled motor launch acquired by the U.S. Navy during World War I. She served as a patrol craft and was used for harbor defense duties. Her specific activities and ultimate disposition are less well documented compared to the Civil War monitor.
