Tarará
Tarará is a small town and beach resort located in the province of Mayabeque, Cuba. It is situated on the Guanabo coast, approximately 20 kilometers east of Havana.
Historically, Tarará was a gated community for privileged children during the pre-revolutionary era. Following the Cuban Revolution in 1959, it was repurposed as a vacation spot for exemplary workers and later served as a rehabilitation center for children affected by the Chernobyl disaster in the 1990s.
Currently, Tarará is undergoing development as a tourist destination. The area features beaches, medical tourism facilities, and residential housing.
