Don't Be Afraid (album)
Don't Be Afraid is the second studio album by the American indie rock band The Jealous Sound. It was released on November 16, 2004, through Revelation Records. The album was produced by Tim O'Heir, known for his work with bands like Sebadoh and The Folk Implosion.
The album marked a shift in sound for The Jealous Sound, moving away from the more emo-tinged sound of their debut album, Kill Them With Kindness, towards a more mature and nuanced indie rock style. Lyrically, the album explores themes of anxiety, self-doubt, and the challenges of relationships.
Don't Be Afraid received generally positive reviews upon its release, with critics praising the band's songwriting and musicianship, as well as O'Heir's production. Some critics considered it a significant step forward for the band.
