Thomas Moore (South Carolina congressman)
Thomas Moore (1759 – July 9, 1810) was an American politician who represented South Carolina in the United States House of Representatives.
Born in Spartanburg County, South Carolina, Moore pursued classical studies and served in the South Carolina militia during the American Revolutionary War.
He was elected as a Democratic-Republican to the Eighth and Ninth Congresses, serving from March 4, 1803, to March 3, 1807. He represented South Carolina's 5th congressional district.
Following his congressional service, Moore returned to agricultural pursuits. He died in Spartanburg County in 1810 and is buried in the family cemetery.
