José Rodríguez (pitcher, born 1974)

José Rodríguez (born October 18, 1974) is a former professional baseball pitcher. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Los Angeles Dodgers in 1998 and 1999.

Rodríguez was signed by the Dodgers as an amateur free agent in 1992. Primarily a relief pitcher, he made his major league debut on June 21, 1998, against the Texas Rangers. In his two seasons with the Dodgers, he appeared in a total of 22 games, pitching 25 2/3 innings. He recorded 18 strikeouts and an earned run average (ERA) of 5.95.

After his time with the Dodgers, Rodríguez continued his professional baseball career in the minor leagues and independent leagues for several years. Details of his later career are limited but indicate sustained involvement in professional baseball beyond his MLB tenure.
