WCGV-TV
WCGV-TV is a television station licensed to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States. It is affiliated with MyNetworkTV and is owned by Nexstar Media Group. The station's call letters, WCGV, stand for "Cream City Guide Vision," referencing Milwaukee's nickname as the "Cream City" due to the distinctive cream-colored bricks used in many of its buildings.
WCGV-TV broadcasts on virtual channel 24. It shares studio facilities with Fox affiliate WITI (channel 6) on North Green Bay Road in Glendale, and its transmitter is located on Milwaukee's northwest side.
The station originally signed on the air in 1980 as an independent station. Over the years, it has been affiliated with various networks, including Home Shopping Network (HSN) and The WB. It became a MyNetworkTV affiliate in 2006 when that network launched.
In addition to MyNetworkTV programming, WCGV-TV also carries syndicated programming, local news from WITI, and public affairs programs. It provides over-the-air coverage of Milwaukee and surrounding areas.
