Summit Pass (British Columbia)

Summit Pass is a mountain pass located in the interior of British Columbia, Canada. It is situated in the Omineca Mountains, a subrange of the Canadian Rockies. The pass serves as a significant transportation corridor, facilitating the movement of goods and people through a mountainous region.

Specifically, Summit Pass is located on Highway 97, also known as the John Hart Highway, between the communities of Chetwynd and Mackenzie. The highway follows the Pine River through the pass. The pass represents the highest point on the highway between these two communities.
