Boa (wrestler)

Boa is the ring name of a Chinese professional wrestler currently signed to WWE, performing on the NXT brand.

Born Xia Bo, Boa began his professional wrestling career after being recruited through WWE's talent search in China in 2016. He trained at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. He debuted in NXT in 2019.

Initially presented as a relatively inexperienced and somewhat reluctant competitor, Boa's character underwent a significant transformation in 2020-2021, becoming aligned with Tian Sha, a storyline involving Mei Ying (later known as Wendy Choo) and Xia Li. This storyline portrayed Boa as a powerful and intimidating figure, exhibiting enhanced strength and a changed demeanor as a result of Mei Ying's influence. His ring attire also reflected this transformation, incorporating elements of traditional Chinese aesthetics.

Following the disbandment of Tian Sha, Boa's character and ring name were temporarily changed to "Von Wagner" briefly in 2021. He soon reverted to the Boa character.
