Sounds Like Love (film)

Sounds Like Love (Spanish: Fuimos canciones, lit. We Were Songs) is a 2021 Spanish romantic comedy-drama film directed by Juana Macías, based on the novels Canciones y recuerdos by Elísabet Benavent. The film stars María Valverde, Álex González, and Elisabet Casanovas. It tells the story of Maca, a 30-year-old woman working as an assistant for a fashion influencer in Madrid, whose life is thrown into turmoil when her ex-boyfriend Leo reappears after years of absence. The film explores themes of love, friendship, self-discovery, and dealing with past relationships. A sequel, titled Sounds Like Life: The Series, was released on Netflix in 2022.
