Billy Bennett (footballer, born 1955)

Billy Bennett (born 11 February 1955) is an English former professional footballer.

Bennett played as a midfielder. He began his career with Crystal Palace, making his debut in 1972. He also played for Charlton Athletic and Millwall in the Football League, before moving into non-league football. Details of his non-league career are scarce, but it is known he played for clubs including Maidstone United.

Bennett's career saw him make a number of appearances in the Second Division, now known as the Championship. His time at Millwall was primarily spent in the Third Division.
