Jack Miller (racing driver)
Jack Miller (born 18 January 1995) is an Australian professional motorcycle racer. He competes in the MotoGP World Championship riding for Red Bull KTM Factory Racing.
Miller, nicknamed "JackAss" and "Thriller Miller," began his career in off-road motorcycle racing before transitioning to road racing. He gained international recognition competing in the 125cc and Moto3 classes, eventually making the leap directly from Moto3 to MotoGP in 2015 with the LCR Honda team. This bold move was supported by a multi-year contract with Honda Racing Corporation.
His early years in MotoGP were characterized by adaptation and learning the intricacies of the premier class. In 2016, riding for the Marc VDS Racing Team, Miller achieved his first MotoGP victory in a rain-affected race at Assen, Netherlands. This made him the first Australian to win a premier class race since Casey Stoner in 2012.
Miller subsequently rode for the Pramac Racing team on Ducati machinery, demonstrating consistent improvements in performance and securing multiple podium finishes. He then moved to the Ducati Lenovo Team (the factory Ducati team) for the 2021 and 2022 seasons, achieving further race wins and contributing to Ducati's constructors' championship successes.
In 2023, Miller joined the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team, returning to the factory environment and continuing his career in MotoGP. He is known for his aggressive riding style, charismatic personality, and strong performances in wet weather conditions. Miller is a consistent front-runner and a popular figure within the MotoGP paddock.
