Robert Read (cricketer)

Robert Read (born 18 April 1958) is a former English first-class cricketer who played for Cambridge University and Middlesex in the late 1970s and early 1980s. A right-handed batsman, Read achieved moderate success at the university level, earning his Blue. He was also a capable fielder. While his first-class career was brief, he contributed to Middlesex's batting lineup during his time with the county. After his playing career, Read pursued a career outside of cricket.
