1982 (Statik Selektah and Termanology album)
1982 is a collaborative studio album by American hip hop producer Statik Selektah and rapper Termanology. It was released on October 26, 2010, through Showoff Records and Brick Records. The album's title references the year both artists were born. 1982 features guest appearances from artists such as Bun B, Freeway, Lil Fame (of M.O.P.), Saigon, and Reks. The album is characterized by its classic boom-bap production style, a signature sound of Statik Selektah, coupled with Termanology's gritty and lyrical rhymes. The album received generally positive reviews from critics, who praised its authentic hip-hop sound and the chemistry between Statik Selektah and Termanology. It spawned several singles and helped to solidify both artists' reputations within the underground hip-hop scene. A sequel album, 1982: The Re-Introduction, was released in 2012.
