Shane Peacock (writer)

Shane Peacock is a Canadian author best known for his young adult mystery series featuring a teenage Sherlock Holmes. He is also a playwright, screenwriter, and journalist.

Peacock's Boy Sherlock Holmes series, beginning with Eye of the Crow (2007), imagines the formative years of the iconic detective. The series follows Holmes's early adventures, developing his skills of observation and deduction. Subsequent titles include Death in the Shadows, Vanishing Thief, Secret of the Sands, Dragonfly, Becoming Holmes, The Sign of the Demoned, and Code Cracker.

Beyond the Boy Sherlock Holmes series, Peacock has written other young adult novels, including The Dark Missions of Edgar Brim, and has also published non-fiction works. He has received multiple awards and nominations for his writing, including the Arthur Ellis Award for best juvenile/YA crime fiction.
