Jeff Lipsky (filmmaker)
Jeff Lipsky is an American independent film producer, director, and distributor known for his commitment to showcasing character-driven dramas and supporting emerging filmmakers. He is recognized for his work in nurturing independent cinema through his distribution companies, October Films (co-founder) and later, Adopt Films.
Lipsky's career spans several decades. After his tenure at October Films, he founded Lot 47 Films, which he eventually sold to Emerging Pictures. In 2011, he launched Adopt Films, which focused on acquiring and distributing international and independent films, including those directed by foreign filmmakers.
