John E. Bennett (scientist)

John E. Bennett was an American physician and scientist specializing in infectious diseases. He made significant contributions to the understanding and treatment of fungal infections, particularly cryptococcal meningitis and aspergillosis.

Bennett received his M.D. from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He served as Head of the Clinical Mycology Section for many years.
