Simon Moore (Essex cricketer)

Simon Moore (born 10 November 1974 in Essex, England) is a former English cricketer who played for Essex County Cricket Club.

Moore was a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-pace bowler. He made his first-class debut for Essex in 1994 and played regularly for the county until his retirement in 2002. He was primarily a lower-order batsman known for his stubborn resistance and occasional big hitting. With the ball, he was a useful change bowler who provided control and accuracy.

His best first-class score was 86, and his best bowling figures were 4 for 48. After retiring from professional cricket, Moore remained involved in the sport at the club level.
