Seb Dance

Seb Dance (born 15 December 1981) is a British Labour Party politician. He served as a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) for London from 2014 to 2020.

Prior to his election to the European Parliament, Dance worked as a political advisor and campaigner for the Labour Party. During his time in the European Parliament, he served on several committees, including the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety Committee. He was a vocal advocate for action on climate change and environmental protection.

Dance is known for his outspoken views and interventions within the European Parliament. He notably staged a protest during a speech by Nigel Farage following the 2016 EU referendum result, holding up a sign reading "Liar" in response to what he perceived as misrepresentations about the European Union.

Following the United Kingdom's withdrawal from the European Union in January 2020, Dance ceased to be an MEP. He subsequently became Deputy Mayor of London for Transport under Mayor Sadiq Khan in February 2023.
