North Longford (UK Parliament constituency)
North Longford was a UK Parliament constituency in Ireland, returning one Member of Parliament (MP). It was created in 1885, replacing part of the Longford constituency, and abolished in 1918. It comprised the northern part of County Longford. The constituency was primarily agricultural and predominantly nationalist in political sentiment. Its most prominent MP was Justin McCarthy, who served from 1886 to 1900 as a member of the Irish Parliamentary Party. Following its abolition in 1918, the area was incorporated into the new Longford constituency.
