Udet U 10

The Udet U 10 was a German single-engine, low-wing monoplane airliner produced in the late 1920s. It was designed by Ernst Udet's company, Udet Flugzeugbau GmbH, with the aim of providing a comfortable and relatively fast transport solution for short to medium-range routes.

The aircraft was notable for its streamlined design for the period and featured a closed cockpit for the pilot and an enclosed cabin for passengers. The passenger cabin typically accommodated four to six passengers, depending on the configuration. Construction was primarily of wood, with fabric covering on the wings and fuselage.

The U 10 was powered by a radial engine, most commonly the Siemens-Halske Sh 12 or similar types, providing adequate performance for the intended routes. Several different versions and minor modifications were made throughout its production run.

While not a particularly numerous aircraft, the Udet U 10 saw service with various airlines and private operators in Germany and other European countries. It contributed to the early development of commercial aviation by offering improved speed and comfort compared to some of its contemporaries. The aircraft is considered a representative example of interwar German transport aircraft design.
