Robert Henderson (Canadian politician)

Robert Henderson (born August 9, 1937) is a Canadian politician who served as a Liberal Member of Parliament for Virden—Brandon from 1993 to 1997.

Henderson was born in Scotland and immigrated to Canada. Prior to entering federal politics, he was a farmer and businessman. He also served on the local school board.

In the 1993 Canadian federal election, Henderson defeated incumbent Progressive Conservative MP Ross Blais to win the seat of Virden—Brandon. During his term in parliament, he sat on various committees, including the Standing Committee on Agriculture and Agri-Food.

Henderson was defeated in the 1997 federal election by Rick Borotsik of the Progressive Conservative Party. After leaving politics, he returned to farming.
