Heinz Felsch

Heinz Felsch (born circa 1907, died ?) was a German electrical engineer known for his contributions to television technology and color television standards in Europe. He was a key figure at Telefunken, where he researched and developed various aspects of signal transmission and color encoding. Felsch played a significant role in the development of the PAL (Phase Alternating Line) color television system alongside Walter Bruch, also of Telefunken. His work focused on the technical aspects of color signal encoding and decoding to ensure compatibility and improve picture quality. While Walter Bruch is often credited as the inventor of PAL, Felsch's contributions were essential to its realization. His specific contributions included refinements to the signal processing and circuitry within the PAL system. He authored several technical papers and patents related to television technology during his career.
