Pat Fry
Pat Fry is a British motorsports engineer with a long and distinguished career in Formula One. He is widely recognized for his expertise in vehicle dynamics, aerodynamics, and race strategy.
Fry's Formula One career began with Benetton in 1987, where he worked as a data engineer. He subsequently moved to McLaren in 1993, holding various positions including race engineer and chief engineer, contributing significantly to the team's success during a highly competitive period.
After a lengthy and successful tenure at McLaren, Fry joined Ferrari in 2010. Initially serving as assistant technical director, he was later promoted to chassis director, playing a crucial role in the development of Ferrari's Formula One cars.
Following his departure from Ferrari in 2014, Fry joined Manor Racing as an engineering consultant. He then returned to McLaren in 2018 as engineering director, taking on responsibilities for improving the team's performance. In 2020, he left McLaren and joined Alpine (formerly Renault), initially as chassis technical director. In 2023, Fry moved to Williams Racing as Chief Technical Officer.
