Carichí

Carichí is a town and the seat of the Carichí Municipality, in the Mexican state of Chihuahua. Located in the western part of the state, within the Sierra Madre Occidental mountain range, Carichí is known for its rugged terrain and the presence of indigenous Tarahumara (Rarámuri) communities.

The name "Carichí" is derived from the Tarahumara language.
