Gas Ronda

Gas Ronda was an American drag racer prominent in the 1960s, primarily known for his achievements driving Ford-sponsored Mustangs in the Funny Car category. He was a significant figure in the early development of Funny Car racing, known for his innovative engine setups and aggressive driving style. Ronda won the NHRA Winternationals in 1966 and the NHRA Springnationals in 1966. He was a member of Ford's factory racing team during the era of "Total Performance" and contributed to Ford's success in drag racing. His career was cut short due to a severe racing accident in 1967, effectively ending his driving career, though he remained involved in motorsports.
