Joe Berry (pitcher)
Joe Berry (born August 27, 1948) is a former professional baseball pitcher. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the California Angels in 1971 and 1972.
Berry was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the 21st round of the 1966 MLB draft, but did not sign. He was later drafted by the California Angels in the 1st round (18th overall) of the 1968 MLB January Draft-Regular Phase.
In his MLB career, Berry appeared in 19 games, all in relief. He pitched a total of 26 innings, allowing 30 hits and 14 earned runs. He recorded 12 strikeouts and 11 walks. His career earned run average (ERA) was 4.85. He had no wins or losses and no saves. He last played on October 1, 1972.
After his major league career, Berry continued to play in the minor leagues.
