Addison station (CTA Red Line)
Addison is a station on the Chicago Transit Authority's (CTA) Red Line. It is located at 940 West Addison Street in the Wrigleyville neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. The station is situated directly adjacent to Wrigley Field, home of the Chicago Cubs, making it a vital transportation hub for baseball fans on game days.
The station has two side platforms serving trains in both directions (north and south). The Addison station is an elevated station, built above street level. During Cubs games and other major events in the Wrigleyville area, the station experiences significantly increased ridership.
